Using the game

You may play for personal, non-commercial enjoyment. An account is optional and you must be at least 16 to create one. You must provide accurate account information and protect your password and recovery access. Anonymous play remains available without an account.

Fair play and acceptable use

Do not automate answers or requests, manipulate scores/timing, exploit defects, evade access or rate controls, impersonate others, scrape private information, disrupt the service, upload unlawful/offensive usernames, or use the service in a way that harms another person or the providers it relies on.

Leaderboard entries may be removed and accounts restricted for cheating, abuse, security risk or material breach. Moderation is intentionally lightweight and may expand if actual abuse warrants it. There are no prizes, paid entry, subscriptions, gambling-like mechanics or sponsored competitions at initial launch.

Your content and public profile

You retain rights in a username or other material you provide, subject to others’ rights. You give the service permission to display the username, XP/level and verified leaderboard results for operating the game. Do not use a name or content you do not have the right to use. Usernames may be changed once every 30 days. Immediate account deletion removes the public profile and leaderboard entries.

Maps and third-party services

Map and place information comes from sources including OpenStreetMap, GeoNames and Wikipedia and may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate. Their licences and attribution continue to apply. Guess the Street is a learning game, not a navigation, emergency or safety service.

Availability and changes

The service is provided free of charge and may change, pause or stop. Reasonable care is taken, but uninterrupted or error-free availability is not promised. Features may be limited to protect users, providers or service integrity. Accepted deletion requests will not be abandoned merely because a user interface is rolled back.

Liability and mandatory rights

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer or data-protection rights. Subject to those rights, the service is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or for business losses arising from personal use. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, while preserving mandatory rights that apply to you where those rights cannot legally be excluded.

Privacy, ending use and contact

The Privacy notice explains information use and account deletion. You may stop playing, sign out or immediately and permanently delete the account from Account settings. There is no general customer-support or ticket service. Privacy and rights requests may be sent to hello@frederickcoulton.com.
